Put a candle in your window

"I was going around the world with the clouds when God spoke to my thoughts and told me to ... be at peace with all." -COCHISE

As we are about to enter August 6th 2005, I think it is in its place to put a candle in every window in memory of the bombing of Hiroshima 60 years ago. August 9th for Nagasaki. Let us focus on love and peace. I know it is difficult in this age and time, when the media and our governments keep telling us about terror. But eye for eye and tooth for tooth never brought peace to anyone. Vendettas only end when everybody die, or we learn to forgive and forget. Spend at least this one day to remember that even your enemy is a human being, deserving just as much love as you do.

So put a candle in your window to remember the lives lost, to protest the mindless violence in our world, and to focus on embracing every life on this planet. Remember that when we fight, we also destroy the resources we need for our own survival. Remember that when we embrace and feel this embrace from within, all wounds can be healed.

"You must not hurt anybody or do harm to anyone. You must not fight but do right always." -WOVOKA
